Due to particularly high requirements for special industrial purposes, we offer here the following
Resistance to heat, corrosion, scaling and rust Steel wool made of alloyed stainless steel
Material: DIN No. 1.4113 = X6CrMo17 = AISI 434 = SAE 51434 = SUS 434 (17% chromium and 1.1% molybdenum content)
According to the experience gained so far, these stainless steel wool products are particularly suitable for
1) Silencers (motor vehicles, power stations, stationary engines, ship engines, aircraft engines, production plants).
2) Filters (natural gas, humid air and gases, exhaust gases, liquids).
3) Insulation and padding purposes in case of high heat stress and exposure to water or soap solution.
4) Reinforcing fibres (heavy concrete, plastics).
5) Cleaning purposes where rusting must be avoided (food, glass factories, etc.)
6) Pest control, protection from mice, rats and other rodents.
7) Cleaning and sanding of wood containing tannic acid (beech, oak, walnut, mahogany, etc.), usually in combination with wet substrates and chemicals.
The stainless steel wool is very long-fibred, tough and elastic due to the special manufacturing processes.
The products made from it are resistant up to temperatures of approx. 800°C
A strang of 100g stainless steel wool has a length of approx. 1,4-1,6m and is approx. 10-12cm wide.
